Newsweek magazine recently conducted one of the most extensive surveys of plastic surgeons and medical professionals in America in collaboration with global information firm STATISTA. Their survey was done to determine who qualified as the nation’s top plastic surgeons, based on the views and expertise of their peers, fellow plastic surgeons. Baltimore board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michele Shermak ranked as one of the “Best Plastic Surgeons ” in America” as of 2021!
Now Dr. Shermak is in the news again, noted by the Surgical Times in their prestigious list of America’s Best Female Surgeons!
Five thousand medical professionals and plastic surgery peers were asked to select their best plastic surgeon out of more than 7,000 board-certified potential candidates. Those surveyed were then also asked to rate their nominee’s quality of preoperative, surgical, and postoperative care, as well as the results they obtained for patients.
Dr. Shermak was ranked in two of the 83 positions across all four lists that are filled by the best 50 female plastic surgeons in America.
These 50 female plastic surgeons are in the top five percent of more than 8,000 U.S. board-certified plastic surgeons according to the survey methodology used.
